Midtøsten konfliktene har regionale
dimensjoner
August 2006

Manual on Dispute Resolution of International
Watercourses - in Arabic and English
The first of its kind in Arabic version: “A
Manual on Dispute Resolution of International Watercourses”
was made public to Arab Leaders from 16 countries at a high-level
meeting at the United Nations Economic and Social Commission of
Western Asia (ESCWA) in Beirut on December 3rd 2004 (also available
in English).
The Manual is written by the Chairman of CESAR,
Professor Dr. Jon Martin Trondalen who says that:
“The Manual is based on experience and real life situations
over several years, especially in the Middle East. The text is illustrated
by quite a few real-world examples. It has been a privilege to work
with ESCWA and with other negotiators in the region, and it is very
much thanks to them that I have been able to share some of the experience
in this Manual”.
Please, contact ESCWA ( http://www.escwa.org.lb/divisions/sdpd/water.html
) for copies.
The publications have been possible due to generous
funding from the German GTZ and BGR.
